Dominic Martines Obituary 

Dominic John Martines, 99 years young of Gilbert Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023.

Dominic was born on April 30, 1924, to Joseph and Vita Martines in Detroit, Michigan. Dominic proudly served his country as a member of the Army in WWII.

Dominic married his sweetheart, Donna (Schneider) on October 17, 1953. Dom and Donna will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary this October together in heaven.

Dom and Donna went on to adopt their two children: Catherine Mary, and Dean John.

Dominic owned a construction company in Michigan, where he took pride in his work, including building his family home in Northville Michigan in the early 1960s. He was determined to move his family away from the cold winters and accomplished this by making the move to Arizona in 1977. This is where Dom took up the love for playing softball and didn’t stop until the age of 95.

Dominic was predeceased by his wife Donna and grandson Deanie. He is survived and will be dearly missed by daughter Catherine (Frank) Agostino, son Dean (Holly) Martines, grandsons Nicholas, and Justin, and granddaughter Kaylee (Josh) Obolewicz. Along with nieces and nephews.

Service for Dominic will be held October 17, 2023, at 10’oclock a.m. at Falconer’s Funeral Home
