Obituary of Ida Rutledge

Ida Rutledge, a beloved Wife, Sister and Aunt, passed away on Sunday, August 20th, 2023, at the age of 96. Ida was born on April 4, 1927 in Puerto De Luna, New Mexico to Luis Ortega and Estefanita Montano.  Ida was the third oldest child of her parents and grew up with four sisters, Dora, Sophie, Patsy and Amelia and two brothers, Tony and Louie. Ida was preceded in death by her spouse of 66 years, Charles O’Dell Rutledge, her sisters, Dora, Sophie, and brothers, Tony and Louie. Ida lived a long and fulfilling life with Charles where they made countless memories. Ida is survived by her two sisters Amelia Romero and Patsy Smith, many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was a devoted wife and loved her family beyond measure. Flowers and condolences can be sent to Falconer Funeral Home in Gilbert, AZ to celebrate Ida’s life and legacy. Ida will be laid to rest with her beloved spouse Charles at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ in Phoenix, AZ. Ida will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.
