Obituary of Charlene Marie Summerfield

Charlene Marie Summerfield of Gilbert, Arizona went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Charlene, or "Char" as she was known to her family and friends, was born on April 22, 1955 in Trenton, New Jersey. She grew up in the small town of Roebling, NJ and then briefly in Bordentown, NJ. In 1967 her family moved to Arizona where she lived out the remainder of her life. She was married to Jack D. Summerfield for 43 years. They were blessed with a son, Matthew Summerfield in 1981. She is preceded in death by their daughter Brooke, sister Margaret, and both sets of grandparents. She leaves behind her husband Jack of Gilbert, AZ, son Matthew of Mesa, AZ, mother Margaret E. Arnold of Chandler, AZ, father John C. Seaman of San Diego, CA, and sister Patty Angulo of Phoenix, AZ, as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Desert Springs Church, Gilbert Campus, 874 E. Warner Rd., Ste. 101, Gilbert, AZ 85295. Private viewings will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a light lunch immediately following the service. Graveside services will be private and are for family members only.
