Obituary of Richard Peter Nestor

Richard (Dick) Peter Nestor, age 74, of Gilbert, Arizona. Richard went to the Lord on September 5, 2021. He was born July 3, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN to Herman and Olive Nestor. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Patti; his daughters, Tracie Hughes and Kerrie Mellott (Ben); his step-son Brendon Blake (Lauren); brother, Craig Nestor (Susan); and the joys of his life - his 5 grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy, and his sister, Kay Klumpner. Richard served as a Chaplain"s Assistant in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a man who lived his life following his faith in God. He emanated peace and love to whomever he met. He was an amazingly funny man who loved making people laugh. Richard will be deeply missed on earth and rejoiced as he reaches the gates of Heaven. Hospice of the West served as a wonderful partner in his transition. A celebration of his amazing life will be held at later dates in Arizona and Minnesota.
