Obituary of Richard Rogers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Richard Devere Rogers. Born November 12 1928. He died August 20 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife Verona Rogers. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, totaling 126 souls. He has touched the lives of each. In addition he helped to raise several foster children. As a teacher he contributed to the knowledge of countless persons. In his church service he served a mission to the Central Atlantic States at age 19. Later he served a mission with his wife Verona to Australia. In his retirement years he became a Stake Patriarch. Whenever he looked on human suffering he would give of himself to ease the burden of another. Often people he didn"t even know. He will be missed by all who knew him.
