Obituary of Bob Joe Taylor

91 of Gilbert, died May 7 th at Gilbert Mercy Hospital. Born April 19, 1930 in Friona, Texas, he married Mary Lou Henness in 1955 in Casa Grande. With a Masters in Range Management from Utah State University, he worked most of his career for the Bureau of Indian Affairs on reservations in the Southwest, the last being the San Carlos reservation, living in Globe. He was a humble and honest man who immersed himself in his family, his children"s sports, family projects, and hobbies like leather work, silver smithing, and wood carving. He loved deeply, was frugal, always pitched-in, and enjoyed beer and wine in moderation. Never to criticize, he was a kind man, who seldom complained. He carried one picture for 66 years, that of his wife Mary Lou. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons Robert, Douglas, Ted and Scott; his daughter Melinda Gale; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 19 th at 10 am at New Hope Community Church, 1380 E Guadalupe Rd, Gilbert, AZ.
