Obituary of Leonardo Edward Murdock

Leonardo Edward Murdock, 62, was affectionately know as "Eddie". He peacefully returned to his heavenly home on March 1, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones and friends. His firm belief in God supported his transition and ultimately gave him peace. Eddie was the first child born to the late Sgt. Major Leonard Murdock USMC Retired and Laura Vee Murdock. He grew-up in Springfield, Ohio and graduated with honors from Springfield South High School. At the age of 18 he followed in his father's footsteps and joined the United Stated Marine Corps. Eddie was an avid Outdoorsman. His passions included, big-game hunting, calling, fishing, camping and taxidermy. He was an active member of the Phoenix Varmint Callers. He published the club's newsletter and freely shared his expert hunting knowledge and skills. He was employed by Banner Health for 32 years where he worked as Supply Chain Management Coordinator. Eddie was proceeded in death by his brother, Bernard (Jerry) Fitzgerald Murdock. He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Frederick (Freddie) Alan Murdock and Gregory (Greg) Alexander Murdock (Catherine); one sister, Michelle Murdock Thrash (James); two step-sisters, Amelia (Millie) Patterson and Lucretia (Chrissy) King; one God-daughter, Michaela Fears; and very special friends Ivan and Sarah Caro, Shantil Macias, Tyeler Davison and Sean Yates, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
