Obituary of Eric David Carter

Eric David Carter passed away on February 29, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona at age seventy. Before his death he was in declining health after suffering a major stroke seventeen years earlier. Eric, nicknamed Rick, was born to Betty and Joseph Carter in 1949 and grew up in Tanguy Homesteads, near West Chester Pennsylvania where he attended public schools. After high school Rick performed several years of alternative service to the draft at a Boston hospital, after which he began a career in the building trades as a carpenter. He was adept at the various phases of home construction and found employment in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Florida and Arizona. He is survived by two children, Matthew James and Christine Jeanette in Florida, two grandsons, Trenton and Adrian also in Florida, a younger sister Patricia in Montana and older brother William in Maine. Eric's immediate family will celebrate his life with a private ceremony to place his ashes in locations that were special to him.
