Obituary of Santos Guajardo

My Santos

It is with great sadness that Santos Guajardo of Gilbert, AZ passed away.

April 1,2023 on Hawes Mountain Biking Trail in Mesa, AZ. He was 52 Years old. Santos Was born April 27th,1970 in McAllen, Texas. To Samuel Guajardo Jr. and Maria Josie Guajardo. He Graduated from McAllen High School in 1988, had his first marriage and two children, Daughter April Guajardo and Son Rekko Guajardo.

 In 1989, he enlisted in the United States Navy, he served aboard The USS Elmer Montgomery and The USS Vicksburg during operation Desert Shield Desert Storm. And as a Electrical Technician.

After 8 years, Santos was honorably discharged. Santos then began his career first working at Intel in Arizona manufacturing. He moved up quickly into his Microchip Layout Design Career which he enjoyed very much. He worked as contractor for IBM in Texas for Several Years doing layout design but eventually went back to Intel in Arizona.

Santos was a very proud, loving Husband and Father. He was very Strong even in times of great difficulty and taught us how to be tough. He always shared his wisdom with us and made sure to explain why he made decisions.

Santos had the spirit of someone very young at heart, always joking and playing around. He could always make you smile. Over the years he had many hobbies, he liked camping in his younger years, Fishing, and rafting. Played softball for several years, golf, paintballing, Brazilian ju-jitsu for several years and most recently Mountain Biking with good friends. He was an amazing man that worked hard to provide for our family. His passion, spirit and strength will live within our hearts forever.

Santos is survived by his wife Melanie Guajardo of Gilbert, AZ his children, daughter April Guajardo of McAllen, TX and son Rekko Guajardo of Wichita Falls, TX. Son Phoenix Guajardo, son Joaquin Guajardo and daughter Jasmyne Guajardo, all of Gilbert, AZ. One Granddaughter, Skyla of McAllen, TX.

His mother Maria Josie Uvalle of San Antonio, TX. Brothers: Samuel Guajardo the 3rd of Pecos, TX , Salvador Guajardo of McAllen, TX. Saul (Terrie) Guajardo of McAllen, TX , Santiago (Cindy) of McAllen, TX. Sisters Sonia (Rick) Balderas of San Antonio, TX and Sofia (Pablo) Mecedo of McAllen, TX. Two Half Brothers Samuel-Santos-Guajardo of McAllen, TX and Sergio (Ashley) Guajardo of McAllen, TX. Santos had 37 Nieces and Nephews and 21 Great Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents and his father Dr. Samuel Gamboa Guajardo Jr.
