Ruth Ristedt

Obituary of Ruth Ristedt

On Sunday, June 27th, 2021, an exception was made on the day of rest, as God threw open the gates, leaving heavens light to gleam off the top of Superstition Mountain, setting the sky ablaze and illuminating the way, where at 6:35am, Ruth Ristedt (Iannacone) returned home to His loving embrace after only 56 years... Ruth spent her first 15 years illuminating the lives of family and friends in Danbury, Ct, where she was born on July 18th, 1964. Though she was one of five children, born to Carol and Junior Iannacone, it was clear from early on that she danced into this world with her soul still tethered to the last. Her passions varied wildly from her love for gymnastics to her never ending search for buried treasure (which began after claiming to "know" a box existed in the front yard of the new Gilbert property). Though many things changed as she grew, her commitment to assuring nobody went without, that everybody felt special, truly loved, and cherished would persist heartily through her youth and unshaken up until her final moments. Her only selfish desire was to have a family of her own. God gifted Ruth 4 beautiful children, though family life was a little different than she had envisioned, she made certain that her children NEVER questioned whether they were loved. Ruth lived for her children, family, and helping others. Money was but a means to an end, loaned to those in need, used to feed or clothe those who were hungry or cold... She touched the lives of more than we will ever know, introducing them to an unconditional, judgment-free love that so many will never know again. The unassailable glow of Heavens warm, radiant allure, would glisten in her eyes, endowing her with the ability to instantly identify the unadulterated potential, unique beauty, and incalculable worth of any person sharing a moment with her. Offering a gentle reminder of all God had instilled but inevitably, with a disarming, and irresistibly infectious laughter that would undoubtedly help establish the foundation of a life-long relationship. On Sunday 6/27/2021, the world became a little dimmer. Ruth's bright light and passion for helping others will continue through her family, friends, the many people she has touched and the Genesis project. Ruth is survived by her parents Junior and Carol Iannacone, Children: Jeff (Erin), Justin, Janelle, and Travis, Her siblings Matthew (Paula), Rebecca, Rachael, and Michael (Cyndi), and a countless number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and lives touched.
