Elizabeth King

Obituary of Elizabeth King

Elizabeth Marie King, beloved wife and mother passed from this mortal realm on May 23, 2021. She passed with her devoted husband by her side. Elizabeth was born January 15, 1952 in Saratoga Springs New York and, after moves to Rochester New York and Greenville South Carolina, finally settled in Gilbert Arizona. She said she married the "coolest dude in the universe", Michael and together they raised 4 children each unique in their own way. She was a small town girl that had a big impact on those she met. Elizabeth was a character and left an imprint on everyone she encountered. She did have an addiction and that was quilting. She was a connoisseur of fabric and frequented quilt shops, took many quilting classes both in stores and online and had all the quilting toys that made her hobby enjoyable. She was known for her sense of humor and could make friends with anyone. Socially fearless, wherever she went. Elizabeth would seek out people she saw as being unrecognized or alone and brighten their day. She was an avid reader with a wide range of interests from mystery novels, biographies, historical non-fiction, to technical journals. She read everything she got her hands on which explained her ability to intelligently talk to almost anyone from any background or training. Elizabeth had a variety of training and jobs including managing a school lunch cafeteria, food safety auditor for the school district, and pharmacy technician. She earned an associates degree and was always seeking to learn more about everything. She was immensely curious. She loved her babies and grandbabies. Elizabeth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and with her husband toured the Western US seeing the sights and visiting temples. Elizabeth was the life of our party and will be deeply missed
