Obituary of Isidro Calacsan Beltran Jr.

Isidro C. Beltran, Jr. (Sid/Bebot), age 77, of Mesa, AZ, entered eternal life with our Lord on Saturday January 16th, 2021 at Banner Desert Medical Center after battling COVID-19. He was born on December 27 th , 1943 in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines to his parents Isidro Sr. and Maria (Calacsan) who preceded him in death. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Central Luzon Agricultural College which is now the Central Luzon State University in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. He moved to the United States in 1969 and settled in Lincolnwood, Illinois for almost 25 years before moving to Gurnee, Illinois. In 2009, Sid moved to Arizona to retire in warmer, sunny weather and settled in Mesa, Arizona. Sid"s occupations throughout his career were high school teacher, agriculturist, printer, and insurance agent. He studied massage therapy as well. He was a loving husband to Fennie (Roselada) for almost 47 years and father to Mary Ann (Vathana "Vee") Thirakul. He is survived by one granddaughter Emily (Thirakul). He is also survived by his sister Corazon (Ruperto Jr.) Ave, and 4 brothers Manuel (Victoria), Richard (Catalina), Ismael, and Arturo (Amelita). He was a nephew, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was a lover of the outdoors, gardening, building with wood, and sports such as boxing and basketball. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in which he also participated in weekly adoration services. He also participated in weekly adoration services at St. Timothy"s Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by his family. Visitation will be held on January 26, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Falconer Funeral Home in Gilbert, Arizona. Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Gilbert, Arizona on January 27 th , 2021 at 10:00AM. Thereafter, burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona. Due to covid-19 precautions, masks are required. For those who cannot attend the services, a zoom link will be provided so attendance can occur virtually.
