I have many fond memories of David but I am most grateful that Grandpa Bill and I were able to he a part of each child's birth. It meant so much to us to be able to stay with them when Nikki and David had things to do or wanted a date night.
We loved going to all the baseball games and the cookouts afterwards. The birthday parties at State Farm Park were always a hit. Then the day came when they decided to transfer to AZ. We were heartbroken to say the least but knew the kids needed to better their lives. The day we were helping them pack they told us they were having another baby. When we found out they were having a girl our hearts were full. Sophia was born and although we couldn't be there in person we were there in thoughts. We were able to make the trip that November and we fell in love with Sophie just as we had all the boys. Living so far away was and still is hard but we are truly grateful that David married Nikki. He was a good husband and father and took care of his family. He told Bill on their wedding day that Nikki was his princess and he treated her like one. Thank you David, you will be missed.

David was a wonderful man, whenever I bumped into him at work or at kid's school it was always a smile and bear hug. He always was talking about his family, he was so proud. His voice reminded me of Ferris Bueller, so no matter what he was saying it was the most charming and clever thing ever. I loved seeing his posts on social media of his late night dates with Nicole and then Stacey, and their family shopping trips to Target that were so silly and yet so normal. I'll miss you, David. You were definitely one of the good ones.

David was incredibly compassionate. He cared so deeply for the well being of others, especially his family and friends. Anytime he would tell me stories of Nicole or tell me about the sweet things Stacey would do for him or how proud he is of his kids, he face lit up with passion and love.
I remember when I was going through a difficult time and I had a lot of medical issues arise, David organized with our coworkers a mini fundraiser for me. He complied the proceeds and presented the gift to me with our peers. It was incredibly thoughtful and truly helped my family during that time. This is just one example how David positively impacted the world.
My heart goes out to Stacey, the kids, and the rest of his family during this unimaginable time. David, you are deeply missed.
