Obituary of Daniel Michael Leonard

Dan Leonard Daniel Michael Leonard, 57, died in July 2019 of cancer. Dan was the loving husband of Doris and proud father of Kyle, Brianna, Audrey, and Justin. He is survived by them and his father Bill, and siblings Susan (Eric), James, David, Richard, Patt, and Edward (Linda). A native and lifelong resident of Arizona, Dan attended Squaw Peak Elementary, Camelback High, Phoenix College, and Mesa Community College. He created computer-aided designs for circuit boards. He was employed at Motorola, Adtron/SMART/SanDisk/Western Digital, and other firms in the Valley. Dan was adventurous, driving fast, rock climbing, and skydiving, and he was mischievous. He was an artist, a poet, a mathematician, a savant. He was a comedian, with a quick wit. His intelligence and patience always inspired us. He could figure out how anything worked. Anything that was broken, he could fix. Dan was a hero and to his children, the most amazing man on this planet. He was strong and supportive up until his last moments. We couldn't be more grateful he was and is in our lives. He is not gone, as lasting memories of him will always remain. Yes, we will miss him. Very, very, very, very much. We try not to think of a future without him, but instead, to move forward with him in our hearts. Thank you to everyone who has been supportive on his journey through cancer for it was a really long one, and blessings to anyone with loved ones currently experiencing ill health.
