Obituary of Denise Cole

Denise Marie Cole, age 52, passed away peacefully at her home in Gilbert on the evening of Thursday, September 20, 2018. Her final moments were spent hand in hand with her son and with her beloved cat, Bonnie, by her side. Denise was born in Fremont, California to Alfred Martinez and Jody Robertson on May 26, 1966. In 1990, Denise married Clinton Allan Cole and together they had two children, Caylie Marie Cole, age 25, and Cody Allan Cole, age 24. Caring for her children was her greatest joy. She was the loving mom who often volunteered at the elementary school while both children attended. She was the overprotective mom who wouldn"t allow them to cross the quiet neighborhood street even into their teen years. She was the fun mom who rolled her car windows down and blasted everything from Hotel California to Brickhouse. She enjoyed documenting family moments with photographs and scrap-booking. As an avid viewer of the Food Network, cooking meals for family and friends was one of her favorite labors of love. Denise had the gift of befriending anyone in a matter of minutes. Her smile was contagious and she could entertain easily with her sense of humor. She will be lovingly remembered as a sweet mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. We will miss her dearly, but feel comfort knowing she is, as Denise herself would describe, having a fantabulous time in Heaven. Family and friends whose lives were touched by Denise are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday September 28, 2018 starting at 10:45 AM at Falconers Funeral Home in Gilbert. A viewing will also be available beginning at 10:00 AM.
