Phyllis Ann Walters was received by God, the Father, in witness of her husband and son on December 10, 2018 in her home in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Phyllis was born June 3, 1938 in Quincy, Michigan to Larry "Chub" Calligan and Luella Calligan. Phyllis was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, as well as her brothers, Rex, Roland, Corlan "Cork", and Allen; and her sisters, Velma and Joann. She is survived by: her husband, Willie Clarence Walters, Jr.; her sister, Patricia Wineland, of Hillsdale, Michigan; Debbie Cohen (daughter) of Concord, CA.; Vicki Kausch (daughter) of Kings Mountain, NC; Karen Brown (daughter) of Gastonia, NC; Mark Dalzell (son) of Albuquerque, NM; Sharon Rosas (daughter) of Glenhaven, CA; Paul "P.J." Dalzell (son) of Romulus, MI; and Anthony Walters (son) of Renton, WA, her son William T Walters of New Jersey, Daughter Rachael Walters of Ora Valley, AZ, three sis ter in laws, Maggie Trimble of Atlanta GA, Johnnie Cunningham of Lawarnceville,GA, Rosa Walters of Lawrenceville, GA. Two brother in laws, Joe Walters of Decatur, GA, Eddie Walters of Byromville, GA. She is so proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that are far too numerous to count.
In her prime, she loved bowling competitively and playing softball. Phyllis was an amazingly hard worker and retired from Aafes, but the job she took the most pride in was being a wife and mother. She gave her love and effort selflessly. Phyllis gave her time in church, teaching Sunday School alongside her husband, Willie. She gave more of herself in the service of others in her community through volunteering and prayer. Phyllis will forever be remembered for her warm smile, gentle demeanor, and the deep love she had for God and us.
