Direct/Immediate Cremation

DIRECT/IMMEDIATE CREMATION SERVICES

Direct or Immediate Cremation is an option when family members have determined that there will be no services or viewing before or after the cremation process has been completed.  This service would include the following items taken from our General Price List dated May 25, 2010:

Removal of your loved one from the place of death to the funeral home; sheltering the remains in refrigeration from time of death to date of cremation as required by law; processing of all necessary documentation for death certificate and necessary permits to allow the cremation; consultation with the certifying physician or medical examiner; cremation fees; and the return of the cremated remains to the family.

The cremation process will take several days to complete for various reasons: typically it will take up to 3 days to secure a signature from the certifying physician or medical examiner, one day to secure permits from county office of vital records, and usually two days for the actual cremation process.  In certain cases where time is limited, this process may be rushed. Rush Fees would be assessed to accomplish this  process in a two to three day period.

DIRECT CREMATION WITH ID VIEWING

Direct cremation with ID Viewing is an option when family members have determined that there will be no services but would like an opportunity to have an ID view (up to 30 minutes) for the immediate next of kin before the cremation process takes place.  This service includes the following items:
